What the publisher says
As described on Microsoft Marketplace.
Know where every dollar settled, and what your Shopify payout leaves out.
Ballast is a Microsoft 365 Copilot agent for Shopify merchants who run their business in Microsoft 365. Ask it a question in Copilot and it reports your store's revenue and settlement, and flags every stream that settles OUTSIDE Shopify Payments so nothing goes untracked.

Shopify's payout report structurally excludes third-party processors. Money taken through Afterpay, PayPal, Shop Pay Installments, Klarna or GrabPay never appears there. Ballast names each off-ledger stream and the gateway it belongs to, so you can reconcile it with the provider directly instead of discovering the gap at month-end.
What you can ask:
- Which of my Shopify money will not appear in a payout?
- Show last month's sales by payment gateway.
- Break down my multi-currency orders in my home currency.
- How much tax did I collect last quarter, by country?
- Export last month's revenue and refunds to Excel.
Why the numbers hold up: Ballast never asks a language model to do arithmetic. Every figure comes from a deterministic engine using integer money math, keeps currencies strictly separate, and traces back to the order and gateway identifiers it came from. Revenue is labelled honestly, with total collected and net collected (cash after refunds) as separate lines, never a misleading net sales that hides tax and shipping. If a value is not available, Ballast says so instead of guessing. Any view exports to a formatted Excel workbook.
Private by design: Ballast is read-only, never changes anything in your store, and stores no customer personal data. It works from an order export you upload (Orders then Export in your Shopify admin). There is no store connection and nothing to install.
This subscription unlocks Ballast for one Shopify merchant organization, with unlimited questions, billed monthly through Microsoft.

Compliance
- FedRAMPConfirmedNot listed90%, registry-checkedNo FedRAMP Marketplace entry matched this vendor's domain, checked 2026-08-27registry recordas observed 2026-08-27
Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.

Unknown means this listing does not publish a repository. It is not a statement that the code is closed, and a linked repository is not a claim that the publisher wrote it: the registry computes that relationship privately and does not publish it.
Evidence risk is the share of the build you cannot see before you deploy, not a security rating. Sign in to see the layer-by-layer basis for this band.
