What the publisher says

As described on AWS Marketplace.

ELEKS Modernization Assessment & Roadmap is a fixed-scope, AI-assisted professional services engagement designed for organizations that need to modernize a business-critical legacy application or clearly bounded domain on AWS, but first requires a validated scope, target architecture vision, risk view, and execution roadmap.

Over three weeks, ELEKS combines AI-accelerated codebase discovery with senior architecture expertise and proven assessment frameworks, including AWS Well-Architected Framework, AWS Cloud Adoption Framework, TOGAF, and SEI. The engagement helps compress discovery and hypothesis validation while keeping key architecture decisions human-owned and aligned with business priorities.

The assessment begins with exploration for modernization. ELEKS reviews the representative codebase, available documentation, and then documents system context, dependencies, integrations, deployment layout, technology stack, and business scenarios. Stakeholder workshops are used to validate gaps, clarify business drivers, and define the target modernization scope. This phase produces an as-is baseline architecture view and an initial to-be architecture hypothesis.

The roadmap phase refines the target architecture vision and translates it into an incremental modernization plan. ELEKS structures the roadmap into prioritized work packages that can be planned and delivered independently, helping the customer avoid a single large cutover and instead proceed through phased modernization. Each work package is aligned to business value, architecture considerations, effort assumptions, related risks, and suggested team needs.

The final deliverables include an as-is architecture assessment, a to-be target architecture vision, a prioritized modernization roadmap, and a knowledge-sharing session with final presentation. The engagement is intended to help business and technology leaders make an informed modernization decision before committing to migration or implementation execution.

This assessment is best suited for enterprises with business needs outgrowing current IT capacity, running legacy or on-premises business-critical applications that are evaluating AWS as a modernization target and need a practical, business-prioritized roadmap before engaging a delivery team. Implementation, migration execution, production deployment, code changes, infrastructure provisioning, and travel costs are outside the scope of this offering.
