SecureEdge AI Email & DLP is a self-hosted AI-powered email security gateway and data loss prevention platform. It scans every inbound and outbound email through Anthropic Claude AI, scoring each message 0-100, then blocks, quarantines, or allows it -- explaining every decision in plain English, all without manual rule-writing.

The AI email gateway detects phishing, Business Email Compromise (BEC), malware, spam, and social engineering. When a BEC attack impersonates an executive requesting a wire transfer, SecureEdge AI recognizes the impersonation, urgency cues, and embedded account numbers, scores it 95/100, and blocks it with a clear explanation your team can act on immediately.
AI-powered DLP detects PII, PHI, PCI data, credentials, and intellectual property leaving your organization. It is compliance-aware across HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOC2, and NIST frameworks, flagging the specific regulation each violation touches.
The natural-language policy builder lets you describe a security policy in plain English - "Block outbound emails containing credit card numbers" -- and Claude creates a working policy automatically. No rule syntax to learn.
A built-in AI Security Assistant answers questions in plain language: summarize todays threats, build a policy, or explain a compliance gap. The dashboard shows real-time threat statistics, a recent-events table, and quarantine management. Role-based access control includes Admin, Operator, and Auditor roles.
Use cases: SMB email protection, healthcare PHI safeguarding, financial-services BEC prevention and PCI/SOX compliance, legal-firm document protection, and any organization wanting AI email security without a dedicated SOC team.
Quick Start: Deploy the VM, open ports 22, 80 and 25 in your security group, launch the instance, then browse to the instance's public IP and complete the first-boot setup wizard. Add your Anthropic API key in the .env file. To scan live email, point your domain's MX record at the VM. Works with any mail server -- Exchange, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or on-premises.

Required: ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. Optional: SMTP relay settings for email gateway mode, NOTIFY_SMTP settings for admin alerts, MILTER_BLOCK_SCORE and MILTER_QUARANTINE_SCORE thresholds, QUARANTINE_RETENTION_DAYS. Full documentation at /opt/securedge-ai/README.md on the deployed VM.
