What the publisher says

As described on AWS Marketplace.

The legacy mainframe, .NET or custom application at the core of your business was never designed to expose its logic to modern AI. Until it moves, everything downstream is blocked. This is a three-day, fixed-price workshop that gives your team a costed plan to move it — safely, incrementally, without pausing operations.

The workshop combines two technologies. Thoughtworks' AI/works™ agentic development platform contributes deep code comprehension, behavior-first analysis and the engineering discipline behind three decades of enterprise modernization — including the Strangler Fig pattern, first published by our Chief Scientist Emeritus Martin Fowler. AWS Transform provides the agentic modernization platform and the AWS-native destination architecture, drawing on AWS Mainframe Modernization Service, AWS Migration Hub, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS Batch and AWS Lambda where relevant.

Our engineers work alongside yours across three days: we assess the estate, map the domain, identify a first thin-slice migration path validated against live production behavior, and cost the phased delivery through to retirement. You leave with an incremental modernization plan grounded in real engineering, not slideware.

This workshop is the first phase of the Thoughtworks 3/3/3 delivery motion: three days to a validated plan, three weeks to a hardened prototype migration on your own code and data, three months to a first thin slice in production. Each phase is fixed-price and outcome-based.

AWS partner funding may be available for qualified engagements. Every workshop is scoped and priced to your estate.

Proof in production. A leading manufacturer retired an 18-month mainframe extended-warranty modernization in approximately five months using this approach. Bluestone rebuilt its mortgage platform on AWS and settled its first loan 11 days after go-live.

  • FedRAMPConfirmedNot listed90%, registry-checkedNo FedRAMP Marketplace entry matched this vendor's domain, checked 2026-08-27registry recordas observed 2026-08-27

Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.
