What the publisher says

As described on AWS Marketplace.

Telecom networks are evolving toward autonomous, intelligent, and cloud-native operations. Ericsson Agentic rApp as a Service (rApp aaS) is a SaaS solution hosted on AWS and available via AWS Marketplace, designed to support CSPs on their journey toward Autonomous Networks. Powered by advanced Agentic AI, rApps aaS enables scalable RAN automation, network operations, and optimization.

Despite rapid technological advancements, Communication Service Providers (CSPs) continue to face significant pain points as they strive to modernize and optimize their networks. Key challenges include the growing complexity of managing multi-technology (5G and striving to 6G) and multi-service (Mobile Broadband, Voice, Fixed Wireless Access, Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication, Network slicing and more) environments, increasing operational costs due to manual interventions, and the difficulty of scaling network operations to meet surging data demands. CSPs are also under pressure to accelerate time-to-market for new services while ensuring high reliability, security, and quality of experience for subscribers. Additionally, legacy systems often hinder the adoption of AI-driven automation and cloud-native architectures, making it difficult to realize the full potential of digital transformation. These challanges underscore the urgent need for innovative, automated solutions like rApp as a Service, which are designed to alleviate operational burdens and empower CSPs to deliver agile, future-ready networks.

Highlights

Highlighted by the publisher on AWS Marketplace.

Ericsson leverages cognitive software to optimize networks serving over 13 million sites and 2 billion subscribers, with 100 million daily AI inferences. Now enhanced by AWS scalable services via Ericsson rApp as a Service, the solution includes anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and cell shaping.

It works seamlessly, integrated with the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP), serving as the Open RAN Non-real time RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) either on a communications service provider's premises or in the cloud.

Agentic AI with intent-enabled by using a supervisor agent that coordinates rApps according to a shared goal. rApp as a Service includes global machine learning model deployment, leveraging Ericsson domain knowledge and international experience to quickly generate value. Additionally, localized ML model training enables adaptation to various CSPs network profiles.
