Multus CNI 4.1.3 on Ubuntu 24.04 with Free Maintenance Support by ATH Infosystems

is a repackaged open-source software offering wherein additional charges apply for

support. Multus CNI is a container network interface (CNI) meta-plugin for Kubernetes

that enables pods to attach to multiple network interfaces. It extends the networking

capabilities of Kubernetes clusters by allowing workloads to use additional networks

alongside the primary cluster network.

This pre-configured Multus CNI environment on Ubuntu 24.04 is designed for Kubernetes

and cloud-native deployments where applications require multiple network connections.

It is useful for telecommunications, network functions virtualization, high-performance

computing, storage workloads, industrial applications, and other environments where

workload networking needs to be separated or customized.

Multus CNI works as a meta-plugin and can coordinate multiple CNI plugins to provide

additional network interfaces to Kubernetes pods. Network attachment definitions can

be used to describe additional networks and configure how workloads connect to them.

This enables teams to design networking architectures based on application-specific

connectivity, isolation, performance, and routing requirements.

Key Features of Multus CNI:

Meta-plugin for Kubernetes Container Network Interface (CNI).

Allows Kubernetes pods to attach to multiple network interfaces.

Supports multiple network configurations within a Kubernetes cluster.

Works alongside a primary Kubernetes CNI plugin.

Supports NetworkAttachmentDefinition resources.

Enables application-specific network connectivity.

Supports network isolation and traffic separation use cases.

Useful for workloads requiring specialized network interfaces.

Supports automated network attachment through Kubernetes resources.

Multi-Network Kubernetes Workloads:

Multus CNI enables a Kubernetes pod to use the default cluster network while also

connecting to one or more additional networks. This capability can be useful when

an application requires separate interfaces for management, storage, application

traffic, or specialized network communication.

Network Configuration:

Kubernetes administrators can define additional network attachments and associate

them with workloads according to deployment requirements. Multus works with compatible

CNI plugins to provide the requested network interfaces while retaining the primary

cluster networking functionality.
