This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support.OpenPrinting is a project under the Linux Foundation that focuses on improving printing support in Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. Its goal is to make printers easy to use without requiring complex driver installations. The core component of OpenPrinting is CUPS, which acts as a print server. CUPS manages print jobs, queues, and communication between the computer and printers. OpenPrinting maintains a large database of printers and provides PPD files that describe printer capabilities such as paper size, resolution, and color options.
