**The challenge**
Pharma and Life Sciences organizations are more than ever wanting to improve agility and increase efficiencies to improve their business outcomes in a competitive marketplace. To achieve these aims, they want to increase the power of their digital services, knowing benefits of improved system integration, acceleration of product development and harnessed application of AI. Legacy code and infrastructure present a key blocker to agility, development and to continued compliance within a complex regulatory, security and data privacy landscape.

**The solution**
This offering combines our tried and tested expertise with AWS, Pharma and Life Sciences and AWS Transform to significantly accelerate and de-risk the modernization of mission-critical IT services. It upholds service availability and adherence to security and compliance frameworks.
We offer two significant wins as part of this offering. Firstly, using AI-powered AWS Transform, Version 1 can power automation of code and infrastructure modernization, at scale and at speed. Legacy assets can be discovered, analyzed and transformed using the power of AI agents (trained on years of collected domain-specific experience), in a fraction of the time, reducing manual effort by up to 70%, across the following use cases.
- Upgrading of legacy Microsoft .NET applications to cross-platform versions, reducing OS licensing costs and increasing security
- Migration of on-prem VMWare workloads to AWS, through discovery, planning and transformation of compute, network and storage to native AWS services. Dedicated AWS migration services ensure that migration of workloads are safely tested and tracked according to organizational priorities
- COBOL mainframe modernization, to improve agility, cost-efficiency and resilience of mainframe applications as they are refactored and decomposed into modern Java
Secondly, we can further optimize these modernized assets and use our AWS experience to deliver well-architected AWS-native workloads. We can ensure modernized workloads are correctly designed, built, tested, deployed and monitored, consistent with a defence-in-depth security approach and adhering to stringent sector-specific regulatory frameworks and standards.
**The result:**
- AWS cloud-native infrastructure and applications built on the priorities and requirements associated with regulatory compliance, service standards and security controls
- Significantly reduced operating costs
- Mission-critical workloads can more easily take advantage of other cloud-native services including potential for optimized automation leveraging AI
- Modernized workloads are significantly easier to maintain and change in response to organisational, regulatory and technical requirements
All this brings great potential to accelerate digital product innovation and improve technical integration to positively impact decision-making and business outcomes.
**Why Version 1?**
Version 1 has extensive experience across the Pharma and Life Science Sector, delivering successfully migrated mission-critical workloads, within and to AWS, for enterprise-level clients, with zero downtime. These have directly contributed to strategic outcomes for our customers helping them reduce cost and risk, while delivering business benefits and opportunities to grow, scale and adapt to change.
We fully understand the importance of service availability and compliance to regulatory frameworks and the need to ensure client sovereignty over data, access, security and resiliency.

Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.

Unknown means this listing does not publish a repository. It is not a statement that the code is closed, and a linked repository is not a claim that the publisher wrote it: the registry computes that relationship privately and does not publish it.
Evidence risk is the share of the build you cannot see before you deploy, not a security rating. Sign in to see the layer-by-layer basis for this band.
