What the publisher says

As described on Microsoft Marketplace.

BoxLang is a modern, dynamic, cloud-native programming language and runtime platform designed for building, deploying, and scaling enterprise applications. The BoxLang SaaS offering provides a fully supported offering for the Azure Marketplace, enabling organizations to build and run applications using either the high-performance JVM-based BoxLang runtime or the ultra-lightweight Rust-based runtime, depending on their operational and performance requirements. The platform supports multi-runtime deployment, allowing customers to choose the runtime best suited for their workloads while maintaining full language compatibility and portability across environments.

BoxLang is ideal for software developers, DevOps teams, cloud architects, independent software vendors (ISVs), enterprises modernizing legacy applications, and organizations seeking a flexible platform for developing web applications, APIs, microservices, serverless workloads, and cloud-native solutions on Azure.

BoxLang is also a multi-parser language that natively speaks ColdFusion (CFML). You can easily port your existing ColdFusion (CFML) applications by leveraging our bx-cfml-compat module and modernize with ease.

Organizations often face challenges related to application modernization, cloud migration complexity, vendor lock-in (ColdFusion-CFML), runtime inefficiencies, and maintaining multiple technology stacks. BoxLang addresses these challenges by providing a single language and platform that can run across multiple runtimes, reducing operational complexity while increasing deployment flexibility. Customers can leverage the mature JVM ecosystem for enterprise workloads or utilize the Rust-based runtime for lightweight, resource-efficient deployments. This enables faster development cycles, simplified cloud adoption, improved performance, lower infrastructure costs, and a future-proof path for modern application development on Azure.

Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.
