What the publisher says
As described on Microsoft Marketplace.
ClaimsGenie is a new approach to the old problem of accurate and efficient medical claim form intake.
Accurate data is vital to insurers. And much of the critical data needed to run the business, from predictive analytics to claim servicing, arrives on a form of some sort. Getting data – quickly and accurately – off forms and into downstream systems can lower costs and improve your competitive stance.

Most insurers have implemented technology to help process claims. Workflow and electronic case management systems, document scanning and OCR all have deep roots in the insurance sector. But despite all of these investments, many insurers still struggle to get accurate information into their sophisticated business systems.
The reason? The standard medical claim form, the CMS-1500, is complex. It is data dense, with many fields packed closely together. It contains multiple checkboxes and a table, which itself contains multiple fields. It is exactly the type of form that causes traditional OCR engines to struggle.
Legacy OCR systems use manually created “zones” that define where the engine should look for data. The slightest deviation in the digital image of the form can impede OCR accuracy. And deviations are common. They can be caused by skewed pages in scanners or even small dimensional changes between different printers. The result is that more fields on more forms will need manual correction, a slow and expensive proposition.
ClaimsGenie takes a different approach – a cloud native approach – and eliminates many of the problems associated with legacy OCR. By using Artificial Intelligence to identify forms and extract information, ClaimsGenie returns accuracy levels far beyond what is achievable using zonal OCR. And with Machine Learning constantly improving the AI models over time, manually creating and maintaining form templates for an OCR engine is no longer required.
ClaimsGenie is built with modern tools to meet modern requirements for functionality, user experience, and security. Deploy quickly, take advantage of new features without upgrading any infrastructure and scale in Azure as needed.

Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.

Unknown means this listing does not publish a repository. It is not a statement that the code is closed, and a linked repository is not a claim that the publisher wrote it: the registry computes that relationship privately and does not publish it.
Evidence risk is the share of the build you cannot see before you deploy, not a security rating. Sign in to see the layer-by-layer basis for this band.
