SPMMate: Azure-native AI learning infrastructure for Malaysian secondary education

SPMMate is a curriculum-aligned AI learning platform built for Malaysian secondary education. It supports structured, syllabus-grounded learning across all six core SPM subjects, with bilingual delivery in Bahasa Malaysia and English, designed for institutional deployment in schools rather than uncontrolled consumer use.

Built on Microsoft Azure

SPMMate runs on a Microsoft Azure AI foundation. Azure OpenAI provides the reasoning layer across SPM subjects. Azure AI Search delivers vector retrieval over approved curriculum content, so responses stay grounded in the SPM syllabus rather than drawing from the open internet. Azure Functions orchestrate AI workflows at student scale, Azure App Service hosts the institutional application surfaces, and Azure Key Vault manages secrets and secure configuration. Platform adoption naturally aligns with Azure ecosystem value through Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and supporting infrastructure usage.

Curriculum-locked, bilingual, and built for educators

Responses are grounded in the SPM syllabus through retrieval rather than free-form generation, keeping learning aligned to the examination framework. The platform operates bilingually, with delivery aligned to the language of instruction, and supports image-based questions for textbook pages and handwritten work. SPMMate is designed around a teacher-first deployment model: educators are the primary platform users, integrating AI support into classroom workflows, with adoption progressing under institutional governance rather than open student access.

Proven through structured pilot deployment

SPMMate has been deployed through a structured pilot across secondary schools in Malaysia, in collaboration with a state-linked digital transformation entity. The pilot followed a teacher-led model, with classroom integration as the primary adoption vector, demonstrating sustained learning engagement across all six core SPM subjects and majority Bahasa Malaysia usage. The deployment model is repeatable: the Azure architecture stays constant while the curriculum content layer can be adapted, supporting replication to additional educational contexts subject to the respective education authorities.

Governance and institutional readiness

SPMMate is designed for school and state-level deployment, with curriculum-locked retrieval, auditable learning interactions, and an AI governance approach aligned with the ISO/IEC 42001 AI management system standard. CoreGen AI is a Microsoft Azure AI Cloud Partner and a Malaysia Digital Status certified company, with registered intellectual property for its education AI platforms.

For institutional buyers and public-sector education

SPMMate is suited to schools, school groups, state education departments, and education foundations seeking a curriculum-aligned, bilingual, Azure-native AI learning platform with institutional governance and a scalable, repeatable deployment model.

Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.
