BIP xTech’s cognitive cloud-based solution presents the following main features:
- Cognitive Search | Natural language can be adopted for searches, with a cognitive engine returning results that can be also fuzzy and semantically like the input query
- OCR software | The engine can detect the presence of text within the document regardless its extension, so that the user can perform the searched over this content as well
- Search over extracted content | Specific filters acting on content extracted through the OCR engine can be implemented to refine the search over target document categories
- Translation | Documents can be translated while keeping their original layout, font, format, and extension
- Versioning | Platform can keep track of all the document milestones, which are always retrievable in a dedicated section reporting all the available versions
- Bookmark | Relevant documents can be saved among the favourites in a personal or shared space organized as Teams and Channels
- Mail Thread | The correlation engine can retrieve relevant email references from documents and show the correspondent documents
The resulting solution is a flexible and scalable cloud platform where documents are injected from the single worksites through a variety of bespoke but reusable connectors and then processed via a multitude of cognitive functionalities, among which:
- Automatic document classification
- Automatic extraction of structured entities (dates, material codes, emails, amounts, …) to become filters/search parameters
- Automatic OCR of scanned documents producing a “searchable copy”
- Automatic translation of MS Office and PDF documents keeping format/fonts/layouts/colours, in more than 70 languages
- Automatic reconstruction of email thread from single scanned emails
- Cognitive Search able to search documents starting from “natural language enquiries”
