S3Proxy is an open-source, self-hosted S3-compatible gateway that provides an Amazon S3 API interface for a variety of storage backends. Built on top of the jclouds library, S3Proxy enables applications and tools that support the Amazon S3 protocol to store, retrieve, and manage data using local filesystems, cloud object storage services, and other supported storage providers. It acts as a translation layer between S3-compatible clients and the underlying storage backend, allowing users to leverage S3 APIs without requiring Amazon S3 itself. S3Proxy can be deployed on local systems, private servers, virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud infrastructure.
