What the publisher says

As described on Microsoft Marketplace.

LM Studio is a local AI and large language model platform that enables users to download, run, manage, and serve AI models on their own systems. It provides a self-hosted environment for running compatible language and embedding models without requiring applications to send inference requests to external AI services.

The solution supports common AI inference and model-serving workflows including downloading and managing models, loading models for inference, running embedding models, and exposing an OpenAI-compatible HTTP API for integration with applications, websites, automation platforms, RAG systems, and other AI-powered services. LM Studio is suitable for developers, AI engineers, system administrators, researchers, and organizations that require local or self-hosted AI inference capabilities.

Disclaimer: LM Studio is provided under its applicable license and usage terms. Model availability, performance, hardware requirements, and supported capabilities depend on the selected model, quantization, CPU/GPU hardware, available memory, and LM Studio compatibility. Users are responsible for securely configuring network access, authentication, firewall rules, API exposure, model licensing, and data handling. Exposing the LM Studio API directly to a public IP without appropriate security controls may allow unauthorized users to consume system resources or access the service. This solution is suitable for self-hosted AI inference, local LLM experimentation, RAG applications, AI development, automation, and OpenAI-compatible API integrations.

Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.
