What the publisher says
As described on Microsoft Marketplace.
Qdrant is an open-source vector database and similarity search engine for AI applications, powering semantic search, recommendations, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for large language models. Built for AI engineers and developers, it stores and queries high-dimensional embeddings at scale with a fast, Rust-based engine. This offer delivers a pre-configured, security-hardened Ubuntu 26.04 LTS image running Qdrant 1.18.3, ready on first boot.
Who it's for

AI and machine learning engineers, data scientists, and developers building RAG pipelines, semantic search, recommendations, or LLM-powered features who need a self-hosted vector database they fully control.
Problems it solves
- Standing up and configuring a vector database for embeddings from scratch.
- Adding fast semantic search and RAG retrieval to AI applications.
- Keeping embedding data self-hosted in your own environment for privacy and control.Key benefits
- Store, index, and query embeddings for fast vector similarity search.
- Power semantic search, recommendations, and RAG for LLM applications.
- Connect from any language over the REST or gRPC API.
- Manage collections visually with the built-in web dashboard.
- Self-host in your own Azure tenant with full root access and data ownership. What's included
- Pre-configured Qdrant 1.18.3 on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, running in Docker on first boot.
- Security-hardened base image, latest stable build, deployable in minutes.
- Category: Databases / AI Apps and AgentsUsage instructions
Qdrant runs in Docker and exposes an HTTP REST API and web dashboard on port 6333 (gRPC on 6334); connect over SSH to check it, then open the dashboard.
- SSH to the VM.
- Go to the app directory: cd /opt/qdrant
- Confirm the container is running: sudo docker ps
- Open the dashboard at http://<PUBLIC-IP>:6333/dashboard, or use the REST API at http://<PUBLIC-IP>:6333.

Compliance

Confirmed means matched to a public authoritative registry. Claimed means the vendor or its listing states it, not yet cross-checked. A framework not shown was not found in any source we hold, which is not evidence against it. Not listed means a scoped registry check found no match for this vendor's domain: a No is a scoped registry check, not a compliance judgment. Confidence bands: 95% domain-verified, 90% registry-checked, 80% self-attested, 70% weak signal. Self-attested items marked “vendor's site” are gathered from the vendor's own website and are not verified by us.

Unknown means this listing does not publish a repository. It is not a statement that the code is closed, and a linked repository is not a claim that the publisher wrote it: the registry computes that relationship privately and does not publish it.
Evidence risk is the share of the build you cannot see before you deploy, not a security rating. Sign in to see the layer-by-layer basis for this band.
