What the publisher says

Cora enables researchers to rapidly explore open-ended, complex questions and discover insights and answers grounded in factual, trustworthy, and contextualized evidence. Cora’s AI guides researchers to discover plausible answers that connect evidence across, and not just within, sources. Cora helps reduce bias by automatically finding both supporting and refuting evidence and tracking it over time for each link in a multi-step chain of inference. The result is more complete, qualified, and evidenced research findings in a fraction of the time. Cora works out of the box on any domain without requiring any manual domain adaptation effort.

Cora provides multiple user interaction modes, including a natural language query and dialog interface that leverages LLMs and Gen AI to support fluent user interactions, and a powerful visual query graph that can be built via dialog or directly manipulated with Cora’s query graph editor. Cora presents results in multiple ways as well, including ranked lists of found concept matches, evidence snippets from relevant documents with highlighted matches, and summaries of relevant evidence grouped into topical clusters.

Cora uses state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models to analyze unstructured text corpora and automatically induce salient concepts and relationships in the text, cluster and arrange them in a taxonomy, extract contextual qualifiers to understand the relationships, and link domain concepts with entities in external ontologies and structured knowledge graphs. The resultant rich, semantically integrated and unified data source allows for much more accurate and useful discovery, search, and information retrieval, while boosting recall by seamlessly connecting unstructured and structured knowledge.

Cora also uses expert knowledge to guide the search process, suggesting next questions to ask and highlighting the most relevant results. This allows expert-level insight to be available to anyone doing research.

Cora supports research templates that allow users to describe complex, multi-step processes, hypotheses, and relationships, and represent the problem using their own mental models of the domain. Cora then automates the instantiation of these research templates, performing multiple searches under the covers to find solutions to the template grounded in evidence from the underlying data sources. These templates are used over and over to accelerate problem solving and hypothesis exploration, and boost team productivity by standardizing domain models and research processes.

Cora supports any domain out-of-the-box and any content, public or private.

Reading the score

Disclosure · how many sources corroborate it

NoneNo source has it. Shown red, because Unknown means Unknown.
1 sourceA single place has it. A listing and its certification page and policy docs on one marketplace count as one source.
2+ contestedTwo or more sources cover it but they do not agree. The disagreement is shown, never dropped.
2+ agreeingTwo or more genuinely separate sources agree: another marketplace, or an outside record.
Steps below are possible but not automated yet, so today they sit open.
SettleTop confirmedSettleTop confirms it directly.

Evidence · what kind of evidence backs it

NoneNo source discloses it.
PublicPublicly available info, such as reviews, listing age, or vendor firmographics like legal entity and headquarters.
Vendor statedThe vendor's own claim on its marketplace listing, website, or policy documents.
Self-attestedThe vendor's self-attested certification or operator program, a marketplace program rather than an independent audit.
Steps below are possible but not automated yet, so today they sit open.
Vendor providedThe vendor hands SettleTop the underlying material, such as an SBOM or a data policy.
Vendor attestedThe vendor signs an attestation to SettleTop.
SettleTop verifiedSettleTop verifies it directly.

The SettleTop steps above are possible but not automated yet, so today they sit open and a perfect 10 is out of reach. Open information like firmographics and reach has fewer steps to climb, so it sits a little higher for the same visible evidence.

Information shown here reflects the best available information at the time of assessment and may be incomplete, outdated, or subject to change. It should be independently verified before being relied upon for any decision. SettleTop is not liable for any errors, omissions, or decisions made in reliance on this information.
